Ava joins our Crossfit kids crew!
Today little miss Ava joined our crew! It always a great day to become a Crossfit Relentless kids member because it's always so much fun(shhh..don't tell them they're exercising and staying fit!). Today our warm up was tire flipping races followed up by a couple of sprints. For the skill portion we reviewed the butterfly squat because practice makes perfect! Our wod was 5 box jumps or steps ,sprint to the other end of the gy mand do 5 more box jump/steps. Want to talk about getting your heart rate up...give it a try. The game today was "Drop in the bucket". The rules are simple, make a shot in the bucket and you get to swing on the rings and trust me they really love the gymnastic rings. The game is one of the most important parts of our workout because it reinforces that exercise is good and should be fun. The bucket shotr practices hand/eye coordination and swinging on the rings hleps create upper body strength. Look at some of the fun below.

More new faces in our Crossfit Kids class!
New skills, new games and new faces is the story of the day today. Tyler and Clair came to their first class today and everybody did a great job of welcoming them into our Crossfit kids family. Both Tyler and Clair did an awesome job and from the smiles on their faces it loked like they had a great time as well. today we learned to some foot drills on the agility ladder. We also learned a new exercise called the thruster which is simply squating down and pressing overhead in one fluid movement. Our game of the day was Crossfit limbo where every athlete did 5 thrusters, then perfromed one limbo under the bar and then 5 steps up or box jumps. Want to see some pictures of the fun?
