CrossFit Relentless Kids learning "the press"

Today our CrossFit Kids learned a new barbell move called the press. The past month has been spent learning and perfecting the barbell dead lift and now it's time to move onto the press. We first introduced this movement to them without load in the preceding months. Today was the first time they used a weight other than light dumbells and they performed great! We progressed all the way up to multiple sets of 3 reps with both boys managing a 40 lb 3 rep set. Mimi also set a p.r with a 25 lb 3 rep set. Their technique was near perfect and the groundwork we laid earlier with them has really paid off. We will spend the next month focusing on this movement  before we introduce the next one.
