We're starting to pack our schedule with fun events and classes and I wanted to give you all a bullet point calendar of events. Here goes

September 12th: Crossfit Mom's class for expectant Mom classes are shcedule monday-Friday at 6 pm at CFR

September 12th :  at CFR expanded teen /kids and teen hours begin...5 days a week plus Saturday mornings!

September 12th: 10 am classes at CF USA on Mon,Wed and Friday

September 19th: Sunday classes beging 9 am and 10 am at both CF USA and CFR

September 25th: Paleo / Zone nutrition seminar at CFr 9 to 11 am followed by wod,classes cancelled for this day.

October 1st: 30 day Paleo / Zone challenge..time to clean it up kids!

Octover 2nd :Deadlifts and Dresses fundraiser at CFR 7pm. all particpants must wear a dress and raise $100

October 10th: hike to Bear monutain. 8 am we meet at CFR. expect at least 6 hours roundtrip including hike. Kids welcome if they can keep up.

November 7th: CrossFit Kids competition at CFR !

CrossFit Reservoir dogs

Today was  stunning sunshiny Labor Day with CrossFit Relentless and CrossFit USA doing a wod and Yoga at the West Hartford Reservoir. We had an army of CrossFitters with over 40 athletes showing up to get their pre- cookout wod in. A special huge thanks to  Julie from lululemon who followed it up with an awesome Yoga session. Thank you to everyone who came out for the day and we are planning more! Don't forget, October 10th ( Sunday) we are hiking up Bear Mountain. Meeting time and place is 8am at CrossFit Relentless.

coach Jen..the strongest woman in Mass !

Here is a recent blog written by Adam Farrah about coach Jen's recent strongman contest. Congratulations Jen!

I wanted to congratulate my friend Jen Bolduc from from CrossFit Relentless again for the AWESOME job she did at the Massachusetts State Strongman/Strongwoman Championship in the Lightweight Division. Jen absolutely CRUSHED IT! and walked home with a 1st place trophy.

There’s a LITTLE bit of a smile on her face, but the look of just BAD ASS-ness she has is awesome. I totally LOVE it, Jen!

While I’m at it, I want to acknowledge Merle and Glenn at CrossFit USA and CrossFit Relentless and all the other coaches and athletes from those Affiliates. Getting someone in shape to win a competition like this one is always a team effort. Way to go, guys!

CFR Labor Day WOD In The Park And Do Not Miss Tuesday

First off,Labor Day Monday September 6th is our CFR WOD In The Park at the Reservoir in West Hartford on Farmington Avenue. We have a fun time planned for you. Just look for all the crazy CrossFitters near the water by the entrance at The Reservoir!! After the WOD,Julie from Lululemon will be leading a Yoga class also. Time is from 9am-10:30 am.

Second,Do not miss this Tuesday September 7th. We need as much participation as your schedules will allow as we will be doing a CrossFit Total on Tuesday. We are doing this in an effort to kick off our Wendler Strength Program which will begin on Monday September 11th. We will use this as a basis for our percentages and then also we will be able to retest our CFT after a few waves of our Wendler Program to see what kind of results we all get. For any of you who have not paid much attention to your numbers or have not seen your numbers change much recently this program is a great opportunity to make some gains. We will be explaining more about the program as we move along.

Gettin' On Snatches!

So sometimes its not about doing alot of weight, but alot of repetition.  Today is a definate example of that.  Everyone started off... "oh its not that bad" and then WHAM, it hits!  Great Job to everyone today that has tackled this WOD so far!ImageImage
